Congratulations to our Spring 2019, Cal State LA AAAS 2630 Cohort!
In partnership with California State University - Los Angeles (CSULA), LEAP facilitated the 16-week leadership seminar course AAAS 2630: Asian American Experience. Reflections on the 2018-2019 LEAP Impact Program
LEAP Impact is a three-part, six-month program designed to develop Asian and Pacific Islander staff for future and current leadership and management roles in nonprofit organizations and increase the retention of those committed to working in the nonprofit sector. On March 21, 2019, LEAP Impact: Leadership Development for Nonprofit Staff concluded in New York, NY. 16 class participants graduated from the program. On March 19, 2019, LEAP hosted a special community reception in New York City. Over 80 guests, including the LEAP program participants, LEAP staff, alumni, trainers, coaches, funders, LEAP friends, and local community leaders attended the reception. Congratulations to the Leadership In Action 2018 Interns!
The 2018 Leadership In Action (LIA) is an eight-week paid summer internship program designed to develop emerging young leaders by providing college students with practical leadership skills and the opportunity to work hands-on in the Asian and Pacific Islander (API) community in Southern California. The 2018 LIA program kicked off on June 18, 2018 in Los Angeles, CA and ended on August 10, 2018 with a graduation ceremony. Read more about this year’s program below.

Building Coast-to-Coast Asian and Pacific Islander Community: LEAP Emerging Leaders Program for Nonprofit Staff
The Emerging Leaders Program for Nonprofit Staff (ELP) provides 16 participants each year with an opportunity to receive 80 hours of leadership development training and 6 hours of executive coaching. In addition to tangible leadership skills and workforce tools, participants become part of a unique cohort of Asian and Pacific Islander nonprofit professionals.
