Session 1: 10:30 am – 12:30 pm
1) Effective Communication Styles
Presenter: Linda Akutagawa, LEAP
Participants will be introduced to a 4-style leadership model and explore the strengths and weaknesses of each style. This workshop will enlighten participants on how to leverage the strengths of their style of leadership as well as learn to work effectively with those of other styles.
2) Change Management: Prepare for the Unexpected
Presenter: Alan Kumamoto, Kumamoto & Associates
In today’s increasingly volatile economic and business atmosphere, prepare yourself to effectively lead and manage change through personal and behavioral flexibility and planning or the unexpected.
3) Managing Effective Collaborations
Presenter: Marianne Chung & Lindsay Romasanta, Center for Pan Asian Community Services
Organizations and movements are fueled by the ability to harness the power of diverse teams—often across multiple environments. Learn how to foster engaged, dynamic collaborations for growth and success.

1) Developing Your Personal Brand
Presenter: Navneet Narula, Leadership Consultant & Motivational Speaker
If you were a product, how would you market yourself to stand apart from the competition? Learn to use the strategies of successful companies to grab the attention of employers, funders and anyone with whom you want to make a great first impression. Learn tips and tactics essential to a great first impression and positive personal brand.
2) Strategic Thinking
Presenter: Alan Kumamoto, Kumamoto & Associates
During the Strategic Thinking session, the instructor uses components of strategic planning such as determining a mission, vision, and the SWOT analysis to guide participants through the process of applying them to their personal and career situation.
3) IMPROVe Your Business Skills
Presenter: Fabian De Rosario, NAAAP-Atlanta& Adam Booher, Whole World Theater
Improvisation, or better known as “improv” is the practice of acting, talking and reacting, spontaneously and in the moment, in response to the stimulus of one's immediate environment. By practicing and mastering the skills of improvisation, you can improve your listening and observation skills, build confidence, manage emotions, and become more assertive. Come enjoy a workshop on “improv” and learn skills that you can immediately apply in your work and personal relationships – techniques such as “mirroring” and “staying outside of your head.”
