The Civic Leadership Training is an experiential and comprehensive 2.5 day training designed by and for Asian and Pacific Islanders (API). This intimate class of 15-30 existing and emerging leaders will develop the skills needed to take their civic engagement to the next level.
The CLT will help participants expand their Civic & Political Network and better understand and navigate the civic and political framework (including the electoral process) to build capacity in both political and community organizations

Individual Positioning: Civic and Political Process Plan
Advocacy Training
Assertive Communication: Sharing Your Vision
Applicants should have
1) A strong interest in addressing API community issues and concerns
2) Demonstrated leadership experience or active involvement in professional, academic, community or private arenas
3) A strong desire to run for elected office, seek appointed positions in public office or increase involvement in nonprofit organizations
